Paz de la Huerta was born & raised in New York City, New York, USA; she has been acting since the age of 4, having trained at the SoHo Children's Acting Studio. Aside from acting, Paz de la Huerta is a skilled designer, artist, & writer who enjoys listening to punk rock music. She at present resides in Tribeca, New York, with her mother & sister.

She has a sister, Rafaela was born in 1982. Father lives on a farm in Spain, mother works for the US, helping with birth control in 3rdworld countries. Paz de la Huerta appeared on the cover of the New York Times Sunday Magazine in October of 2003.

As a child, her 1st name was pronounced in the traditional Spanish way, which is "Paz," which means the z is pronounced it means. pax, peace; rest, tranquility. Paz de la Huerta was born with a recurring cystic hygroma on her right side that grows back & needs to be removed again every few years. As of 2010, she has had 7 surgeries for it since birth. She was raised in Soho in the 1980s in an apartment underneath that of hard-partying art dealer Larry Gagosian, whose hot tub frequently leaked into her family's place. She claims her father served in the French Foreign Legion.


Paz de la Huerta was known best for her role in the HBO series "Boardwalk Empire," she trained at the SoHo Children's Acting Studio & attended the prestigious St. Ann school in Brooklyn, New York. Her name means "Peace of the Orchard" in Spanish and she got her career off to its start in her teens, modeling for print ads & on runways. She moved into acting, appearing in films for example "The Cider House Rules", "Fierce People", "Steal Me"& "The Tripper". She has been romantically linked to stars for example Jack Nicholson, Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland & The Virgins singer Donald Cumming.  The actress, who posed for Playboy magazine’s January/February 2013 issue, was born with a frequent cystic hygroma under her arm that needs to be removed every few years.

Paz De La Huerta is an American actress & model who writes & directs as well. She’s popular for her sensuality & sex appeal but little known by her small roles in handful of movies & photographs.
