Gemma Louise Atkinson was born on November 16, 1984 in Bury, Greater Manchester. She is an English actress, glamour, lingerie model and a television personality. She took her GCSEs at Castlebrook High school before being a commercial and photographic model. Gemma has been involved in many relationships such as Christiano Rolando and was even momentarily engaged to Marcus Bent. Currently Gemma has been in a relationship with Liam Richards a martial arts instructor since 2009 and was then engaged in August of 2012. As for Gemma’s career, she rose into fame playing Lisa Hunter on the Channel 4 teenage soap opera ‘Hollyoaks’. She made her debut video game appearance in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 in 2008 playing the role of Lt. Eva McKenna where she was reprised in Command & Conquer Red Alert 3: Uprising on 2009. Gemma also took part in the EA’s event in Trafalgar Square on October 29, 2008 named “Be the One” which formed part of the London Games Festival. In the world of theatre, Gemma Atkinson appeared in Peter Pan on December 2008 at the Manchester Opera House where she took the title role with John Thomson who played the pirate Captain Hook.

Atkinson along with her family appeared on All Star Family Fortunes on September 20 of 2008, competing against Antony Cotton’s family. The Atkinsons didn’t win on the show but Gemma was given £1,000 for the benefit of her chosen charity. In April 2009, Gemma finished filming one episode of The Bill where she plays as Ria Crossley, a drug dealer’s girlfriend. In film, Atkinson was seen in the British independent film Boogie Woggie. Aside from that she was also seen in numerous films such as 13Hrs and Baseline for the year of 2009. Playing as Celia aka Miss September in the West End production of Tim Firth’s Calendar Girls, Gemma was busy from July 28 to October of 2009.On January to April 2010, the tour for the Calendar Girls also starred Judith Barker, Debbie Chazen, Lynda Bellingham, Jan Harvey and Letitia Dean. Atkinson was the lead female role in Neil LaBute’s play known as ‘This is how it goes’ from September 7 to October 3 of 2010. In 2012 Gemma appeared in the romantic comedy called Sweet Shop that was about a Hollywood superstar in love with a small town sweetshop owner.
Ever since the year 2006, Atkinson has appeared in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women list being number 32 in 2006. Escalating to number 23 in 2007 then rising up to number 18 in 2008 but fell down to the 81st rank on 2009. In AskMen.com she ranked number 46 in the 99 Sexiest Women in 2008. Gemma Atkinson has also been known for promoting Charity work as in September 2007 she did a 5 kilometres charity run for breast cancer awareness and another 228 kilometres walk along the Great Wall of China in April 2008.
