Helena Christensen was born on 25th December, 1968 in Copenhagen at Denmark. Her Height is 5' 10". As a child Helena Christensen wanted to become a musician, but as fate would have it began modeling at the age of nine. After leaving school, she moved to Paris in France to model for the French magazine 'Elle', in 1986 she competed in the Miss Universe contest as Miss Denmark, however unfortunately didn’t receive a placing. Her big break came in June of 1989 while she was discovered by photographer Friedemann Hauss, who impulsively knew that Helena was a 'natural' in terms of modeling ability. Since then her career has taken off, & she’s now one of the top worldwide catwalk queens. Helena Christensen has since taken on the movie industry which is starring in a British TV movie Inferno, 1980 & following it up with a small role in Robert Altman's Prêt-à-Porter in 1994.

During March, 1990, she made her first of 6 appearances on the cover of British Vogue & went on to become a part of the model phenomenon of the 90’s with Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell & Kate Moss. Helen Christensen moved to Paris in 1991 to focus on her modeling career then she appeared topless in the Herb Ritts-shot video clip for Chris Isaak's Wicked Game, which was featured on MTV's Sexiest Videos of All Time. 

She became half of one of the world's highest profile couples while she dated INXS's Michael Hutchence. Gianni Versace described her "the most gorgeous body in the world" behind she starred in his 1994 campaign. She was a part of Nylon magazine's launch team like the original creative director in 1999. She started dating actor Norman Reedus, 1993. The couple was married in 1998 & had a son, Mingus Luchien Reedus. They divorced during 2003.
