Charlie Webester was born in Shefflied, South Yorkside. She was attending Tapton School when she participated in the elite junior athletics. Having the interest in sports she studied Language and Linguistics at the Newcastle University. Upon staying in the University, she worked as a part- time fitness trainer, amateur model, personal trainer and actress.
Charlie Webster moved to Spain as a TV personality for the show Real Madrid TV where she interviewed the Galactico team and presenting football. In the year 2006, Charlie moved to Asia where she joined ESPN to present the live Premier League for football in addition to motorsport.
From November 2010, Charlie Webster became a regular TV presenter on Sky Sports News. In 2010 she also appeared in Goodwood Festival of Speed live on Sky Sports, she was featured on BBC One's Football Focus and presented the UK School Games for Channel 4 alonside with Iwan Thomas. Charlie Webster has written numerous sports columns to spare her time which includes a weekly football feature in the New Paper.
Charlie Webster writes a blog on SkySports.com and she also has a column on the football.co.uk and Sheffield Star. She writes articles about football in a column for Football Punk magazine.
Sports have played a big part in Charlie Webster’s life from a young age both physically and mentally. When she was only 16 she was doing her A- levels and was starting to build up her coaching qualifications. When she was 17 she was teaching at an after school play scheme around different Sheffield schools. Charlie Webster focused on her volunteer work at a young offender’s institute, introducing young kids to support and give themselves self- worth.
At the same time Charlie Webster was coaching & personally training students while studying at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Since then she have dived into various other great projects to champion a cause. Running has been one of her sports as she ran her first Marathon in Singapore in the year 2006 and have ever since completed an additional of 5 marathons including the ones in New York, and 3 in London. She explained how running is a mixture of joy challenge, passion and adrenaline. Since she first ran at the age of 11 running has been a focal part of Charlie Webster’s life whether it was for a competition, or just pushing her limits with her distance and time after frustrating day. Charlie Webster has numerous sports to choose from and she makes an extra effort to promote fitness to her fellow women.
Another sport that she loves is Boxing, she is very passionate in mixing up new sports to continue training. Charlie Webster joined an amateur boxing club at the Lynn ABC in South London. She recently teamed up with boxers Skylark Creative and Hazel Gale to produce a new boxing fitness application for women. Ever since, boxing has been gaining its popularity to become a woman’s sport not only for competitive boxing but as a hobby. This has been clear when the release of 2012 Olympics had Women’s boxing in it. Charlie Webster explained how boxing is a fun and refreshing way to feel good about yourself. The Boxing application opens up boxing as a sport to women in a refreshing and easily accessible way. It is currently in being developed and will be released this year.
