Adele Silva – British Celebrity, Actress, Model

Adele Silva is an English model and television personality who has ruled the British screens, as one of the most popular faces, for almost two decades. She is widely known for the role she played in the top-rated British television soap opera ‘Emmerdale’, by the name of Kelly Windsor. She was born on 19 November, 1980 in Norbury, London and has graduated from the world renowned Sylvia Young theatre school.

Adele Silva started her acting career at the age of eight with her first acting role in the final "classic era" episode of of the classic science fiction drama ‘Doctor Who’ — parts three of ‘Survival’. Her appearance was as ‘squeak’ in this show which aired in the year 1989. Ever since then she has continued to work as a glamour model as well as an actress, and ruled the hearts of many. As a young girl, she also gave guest appearances in the British television soap operas such as Mr Majeika, The Bill and EastEnders, and in the films Chains and Rotten Apples. However, as mentioned earlier, she is mostly renowned for playing the role of Kelly Windsor in the British television show Emmerdale from 1993 to 2000. After joining its cast, she played at the center of dozens of dramatic story lines. Her plotlines in the soap opera have been rather daring, since they included an illicit relationship with her stepbrother and eloping with one of her school teachers etc. She returned to her role in 2005.

During her period away she appeared on Is Harry on the Boat? And Mile High. However, her fans couldn’t wait for her to jump back into the spotlight again. So, she remained in the public eye but, more through her modeling appearances than through her acting. She did so by appearing in a number of newspapers and magazines including Front, Maxim, StarMag, Daily Star Sunday, and FHM. Truth be told her body had matured, making her incredibly attractive to men everywhere. Perhaps it was not just her body but also the kind of roles that she played that gave her such kind of popularity.

Shortly after quitting Emmerdale in 2007, Adele took part in the Season 3 of Hell’s Kitchen, and alongside other fellow celebrities, cooked under Chef Marco Pierre White. She ended as the runner-up, coming second to Barry McGuigan. The same year she starred opposite Gary Kemp in the film Karma Magnet, directed by Martin Kemp.


Being the famous television personality did not seem enough for Adele, who decided to leave Britain for the heights of Hollywood. Since then, her dreams of stardom are seen to have taken a downward spiral as she ended up working as a shop assistant at Ted Baker on Melrose Place and has also launched a dog-walking service. The same might be true for her love life. Adele Silva has been involved with soccer player Warren Feeney but the couple broke up in 2001. She then was linked to Antony Costa, but their relationship also ended in 2006.
